Colorado Hemp Initiative Needs Help Now

The following message was sent by the Colorado Hemp Initiative Project:

IT'S TIME TO ISSUE A DISTRESS SIGNAL
ON THE COLORADO HEMP INITIATIVE PROJECT!!!!

The Colorado Hemp Initiative Project has until July 16 to collect 80,000 signatures around the state to get the Hemp and Cannabis Re-legalization Amendment on the state ballot in November.

IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN
UNLESS WE GET A LOT MORE HELP!!!

I know a lot of people support this petition drive, but so far they have been slow to come out and circulate petitions.

We lost our petition co-ordinators in Denver and in Summit County. And so far we have no petition co-ordinator in Ft. Collins which was our biggest signature collector in 1994.

It's looking grim at this point, but we can still do it if we get some more help. If you think re-legalization of hemp is a good idea, now is the time to do something about it. PLEASE!!!!

To circulate a petition, contact one of the following places:

* Leave a message on our hotlines:

* Or stop by on of our Petitioning Headquarters:

* Or come to one of BHIP's weekly meetings: Tues., 6:30 pm, UMC 157A, CU Campus, Boulder

* If you can't petition, MAKE A DONATION!!!!

Please, we need all your help!!! Get in touch with us soon and start circulating a petition now.

"Prohibition ... goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded." -- Abraham Lincoln, December 1840

NOW IS THE TIME!!!
