Nightline medical marijuana rescheduled for tonight

Last week we announced that Nightline was having a program on medical marijuana, covering Prop. 215, the Clinton administration response, the lawsuit by doctors, and the New England Journal of Medicine editorial. The show was preempted by a topic that Nightline must have considered more urgent.

We've just heard that Nightline has rescheduled the medical marijuana show for tonight, Monday Feb. 3. We've heard that drug czar McCaffrey has backed out, and the ONDCP's chief counsel, Pat Seitz, will debate the editor of the New England Journal of Medicine who wrote their recent pro-medical-marijuana editorial. If the show is not preempted again, it will air at 11:30 pm tonight.
